Police are appealing for information in order to trace 46-year-old woman who has been reported missing from the Dalry area of the City.

Jeanne Brannigan was last heard from around 9.25am on Friday, March 10.  When she failed to return to her home in Caledonian Crescent her family became concerned and contacted police.

Jeanne is described as white woman with a medium build.  She is around 5ft 8” in height with curly blonde hair.  She also speaks with a strong South African accent.

Jeanne is believed to be wearing a blue sweater and blue trousers, which both have Edinburgh University branding upon them.  She is also wearing a black jacket with a fur-lined hood.

Jeanne also has links to Dumbartonshire and officers believe she may be in the Erskine area.

Inspector Gillian Lundberg of Wester Hailes Police Station said:  “Jeanne has not been in touch with anyone since the morning of Friday, March 10, and we are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.

“I would ask anyone who has seen Jeanne, either in Edinburgh or in the Erskine area, is asked to get in touch with us immediately.

“I would also ask Jeanne if she sees this message to get in contact with either her family or the police to let us know her whereabouts.”
