A Leading opticians has expanded its presence in the Capital with the opening of a Corstorphine store, accounting for a £250,000 investment.
The new state-of-the-art Specsavers store was officially opened by Edinburgh Rugby stars Ross Ford, Duncan Weir and Simon Berghan.
The rugby trio cut the ribbon at an official launch party, alongside store directors Craig Daker, Ian Hobson and Adam Gordon, and met staff and customers during the opening celebrations.
Store directors Craig and Ian, who also run the Gyle Centre store, will be joined by new partner Adam Gordon.
Ian says: ‘After months of planning, we are delighted to finally open our doors in Corstorphine.
‘We would like to thank Ross Ford, Duncan Weir and Simon Berghan for helping us mark the launch of the store and all the customers who stopped by during our celebrations.
‘Customers can expect the same fantastic service and advice, state-of-the-art equipment, and excellent selection of glasses as those who visit our sister store in the Gyle Centre.
‘We’re committed to providing the residents of the city with the best optical and hearing services around and we have one of the strongest offerings in the area.
The new store, which has created 12 new jobs in the area, offers three test rooms, a dedicated contact lens department, a dedicated in-store Hearing Centre with soundproof booth and state-of-the-art technology and customer experience throughout.
