At The Queen’s Hall – Lucy Spraggan

Former X Factor contestants appear to be ten a penny these days – but although Lucy Spraggan was on the show sadly she had to withdraw due to illness.

This has not held her back as she now has four albums under her belt, and is an accomplished singer/songwriter although she is only 24 years-old.

She has just published her fourth album on her own label CTRL Records. She explained : “I didn’t plan anything. I just wrote how I felt.”

‘I Hope You Don’t Mind Me Writing…’ is a record written from the heart.

Produced by Jon Maguire, formerly of Lilygreen & Maguire, and mastered by John Davies at Metropolis, the album features 13 tracks, including ‘Dear You’, a haunting, heart-wrenching piano ballad.

Other stand out tracks include ‘Hey William’ and ‘Modern Day Frankenstein’.
