Two men arrested in connection with a series of attempted frauds

Two men, aged 23 and 24, have been arrested and charged in connection with a series of attempted frauds in the Edinburgh area which took place on Wednesday, January 4.

The men were due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today however officers are still looking to trace others who may be involved in this kind of activity.

Inspector David Robertson of West End Police Station said:  “Our enquiries into these frauds are still ongoing and we are still appealing for anyone who may have either witnessed or been the target for such activity to come forward.

“I would advise anyone approached by people undertaking this type of activity to not give them any money and report any incidents immediately to police.”
