Capital Sci-Fi Con 2017 – fundraiser for CHAS
Edinburgh’s Capital Sci-Fi Con (18-19 February 2017) is the ONLY non-for-profit family friendly science-fiction and movie convention – with all profits going to Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS).
BACK again at the Meadowbank Sports Centre, the event will showcase original film and TV memorabilia from world class movies and shows such as Dr Who and Star Wars; live special effects presentations; retro gaming consoles; craft experts to show you how to make your favourite characters costumes as well as TV and film props; AND the hotly anticipated cosplay
competition for age groups 12 and unders and 13 and overs.
Actors and voice-over artists from the small and silver screen will be making appearances over the weekend along with cult comic book illustrators and writers. Just some of the big names in attendance include Gary Erskine, Pam Rose (Star Wars) and Jon Campling (Harry Potter).
As well as the interactive features, there will also be specialist traders selling a range of artwork, memorabilia, collectables, comics, jewellery and toys.
There’s nothing else quite like it AND with all profits going to CHAS, it’s a fantastic event – so why not bring the whole family and make a weekend of it.
