Police appeal after prisoner absconds from HM Prison Castle Huntly

Police are appealing for information to assist the search for David Arthur, aged 31, who has absconded from HM Prison Castle Huntly, by Dundee.

David Arthur, who was on a temporary period of leave, was last seen in the area of Shore Road, Perth, about 12:30pm yesterday He has family and associates in the Paisley area, with enquiries ongoing there and throughout the wider Glasgow region.

Mr Arthur has previous convictions for violence – members of the public should not approach him and should report all sightings to Police immediately via 101. He is described as 5 foot 10 inches in height, blue eyes, slim build with short black hair. Last known clothing is thought to be be a grey jumper and dark tracksuit bottoms.

Police urge anyone with information on Arthur’s whereabouts to dial 101 or leave information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
