North Bridge closed due to concern for man

The North Bridge was closed to all pedestrians and traffic at around 8.45am this morning after reports of concern for a man.

Emergency services including police, paramedics and the fire service remain at the scene and motorists are advised to avoid the area.

A spokeswoman said: “Police in Edinburgh were called to North Bridge around 8.45am on Thursday following a report of concern for a man.

“Closures are currently in place while emergency services attend the scene and the public are thanked for their patience.”
