Police probe disturbance near to Scottish Parliament

A large area of Dumbiedykes near to the Scottish Parliament was cordoned off following a disturbance during the early hours of this morning.

A police investigation is now underway into the circumstances involved.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police in Edinburgh are investigating following a report of a disturbance in Dumbiedykes Road around 2.40am on Wednesday.

“Inquiries are ongoing into the full circumstances.”
