ENTER our Flash Fiction Competition
Winter is coming, and so is The Edinburgh Reporter Winter Print Edition! This December, you’ll be able to pick up copies of The Edinburgh Reporter newspaper all over the city centre. (Get in touch if you would like to stock some!)
You’ll be able to read a range of features and articles helping you make the most of the end of the year in Edinburgh.
And maybe all of those people reading the newspaper will be reading your work, too!
We’re looking for entries for our 2016 Edinburgh Reporter Flash Fiction Competition – the twenty best stories of fifty words or less on the topic of Winter in Edinburgh will feature in our winter print edition. And many more will appear here on the website!
So if you’re a writer or an aspiring writer and want to display your talent in this fun and inspiring form of fiction, have a go at fitting all the elements of character, plot, and setting into just fifty words.
And in that short space, you will be creating a whole world that our editorial team and readers can explore.
Just don’t forget that theme – Winter in Edinburgh. It’s like an open field of fresh snowfall, waiting for you to play in it!
The closing date for entries is 31 October 2016.
