Madeira Street death being treated as ‘unexplained’

Police have now launched an investigation into the death of a woman whose body was found in a flat in Madeira Street on Wednesday night.

Forensics officers have been carrying out inquiries at the scene and the death is currently being treated as unexplained.

A police spokesman said: “The body of a woman was discovered within a flat on Madeira Street around 7.50pm on Wednesday, August 10.

“The death is being treated as unexplained pending the results of a post mortem.”
