“Glasgow Girls” at Edinburgh Festival Fringe
The cast of “Glasgow Girls” pictured in Edinburgh’s Prices Street Gardens, before exploding onto the stage at Fringe venue the Assembly Hall. The cast opened the Assembly Festival press preview the other evening with rousing, passionate singing.
Conceived for the stage and directed by Cora Bissett, from a book by David Greig, this National Theatre of Scotland production tackles the the issue of refugees and asylum, bringing humanity to the stories of those people fleeing war torn lands.
It is part of of the Scottish Government’s “Made In Scotland” showcase on the Edinburgh Fringe, and shows at the Fringe until August 28. Then on tour around Britain in September and October.
