Former Hibs’ manager Pat Fenlon leaves Shamrock Rovers
Former Hibs’ manager Pat Fenlon has left Shamrock Rovers.
Fenlon left Hibs in November 2013 after a League Cup defeat to Hearts at Easter Road.
During his time with the club, he led Hibs to two consecutive Scottish Cup Finals, losing both.
He took charge of Shamrock Rovers in August 2014, but the Hoops have had a disappointing start to the season and are currently 14 points off league leaders Dundalk.
On Thursday Rovers suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Finnish side RoPS Rovaniemi in the Europa League.
A Shamrock Rovers statement read: “The Board of Directors would like to place on record their thanks for the dedication and commitment Pat has shown over the course of three seasons with the club.
“Everyone at the club wishes Pat all the best in the future.”
