Potentially explosive materials found in house in Armadale

A man has been detained after “potentially explosive materials” were found at a house in Barbauchlaw Avenue in Armadale today.

An explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) team attended the address but no residents were evacuated and the incident is not thought to be terrorism related.

A police spokesman said: “As a precaution the EOD attended and a man has been detained in connection with this matter.”
