The Man Who Was Thursday, Balazs Juszt’s directorial debut received its World Premiere in Edinburgh.

The film adaptation altered the Chesterton narrative for the sake of visually cinematic storytelling, pulling the anarchy within the core of Italian Catholicism. Questioning faith and the manifestation of our subconscious the film is a stylised pacey seductive thriller, which keeps the audience on the edge of their seat, but with the odd dark giggle.

The Edinburgh Reporter spoke with director, Balazs and Ana Ularu, who plays Saturday in the film.

The Man Who Was Thursday will again be screened at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on the 26th June at 20:50 at Filmhouse 2.
