The Edinburgh Reporter met the former Moderator at the Royal Highland Show at the end of last week when he explained: ” I am pioneering a church for people who don’t go to church.

“There are so many people who are cheesed off with church.

“What happens in a Sunday is not connecting with them.

“They are people of faith. They still have a deep Christian faith but somehow they feel disenfranchised from the Christian community.

“I think it’s time to connect with those people again.
