25-year-old man in court after Rossie Place assault

A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault in north Edinburgh.

The incident happened at around 1.40 a.m. on Sunday 8th May in Rossie Place resulting in the male victim sustaining a serious head injury.

Officers from the Violence Reduction Unit carried out extensive enquiries and swiftly traced a man and charged him with serious assault.

He is scheduled to appear before Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.
