Hibs offer to help children affected by school closures
Hibs have offered to help Edinburgh schoolchildren affected by the ongoing closure of 17 local primary and secondary schools because of potential structural issues.
The Club has approached City of Edinburgh Council, which is drawing up contingency plans for dealing with the thousands of young people affected.
Leeann Dempster, Chief Executive, said: “We have contacted the Council and offered to do what we can. We have a lot of good quality space at Easter Road Stadium which we are happy to use to help our local young people, particularly those facing into a critical point in their education with examinations coming.
“Our young people are the future, and we are keen to do what we can to ensure that we play any part we can in helping to provide a temporary solution.”
