Death of man in Haddington being treated as unexplained

Police are treating the death of a man whose body was discovered near to a sewage plant in Haddington, East Lothian, about 06:00 on Monday as unexplained.

An enquiry is ongoing as detectives try to establish the circumstances involved.

Forensic officers attended the locus and the area was cordoned off.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “The death is currently being treated as unexplained pending further inquiries.”
