Young Hearts Reach Youth Cup Final

Hearts Under 20s team are through to the final of the Little Big Shot Youth Cup after defeating Dundee United 2-0 at Tynecastle on Tuesday evening.

More than 700 fans saw goals in each half from Alistair Roy and Angus Beith secure the win which takes Hearts through to the final where they will face Motherwell.

Hearts last reached the Youth Cup final in 2014 when they lost a penalty shoot-out to Rangers. Five of that side – Liam Smith, Callum Paterson, Jordan McGhee, Billy King and Sam Nicholson – are now regulars in Hearts first team (although Billy King is presently on loan to Rangers.
