Police investigate historic sexual abuse allegations at Fettes College

Police are investigating historic sexual abuse claims regarding former teaching staff at Fettes College.

The incidents are alleged to have been carried out in the 1980a.

Fettes College was attended by former prime minister Tony Blair.

It  is one of Scotland’s most expensive private schools and is situated next door to former Lothian and Borders Police Headquarters.

A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that an investigation has been carried out into reports of non-recent abuse at Fettes College and it is the intention to report the circumstances to Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service.”
