Police arrest 25-year-old man following robberies in Stenhouse

Police have arrested and charged a 25-year-old man following an attempted robbery and a robbery in the Stenhouse area.

The first incident took place on Saughton Road North on Monday 7 March, when a man attempted to rob a teenage girl of her phone.

The second took place on Saughton Mains Terrace on Tuesday 8 March, when an elderly woman was assaulted and robbed of her handbag.

He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.
