Human remains found near Edinburgh Airport

A police enquiry in underway after human remains were found on the grounds of a property near to Edinburgh Airport last Saturday.

The discovery was made on Gogarstone Road and forensic experts are currently examining the body parts to determine the circumstances involved.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Officers were called to Gogarstone Road at around 4pm on Saturday, January 9 following the discovery of human remains within the grounds of a property.

“A detailed forensic examination is now under way to establish the full circumstances surrounding this, and further updates will be provided when available.”
