Hibs reminds fans not to go onto the pitch
Hibs have asked fans not to enter the field of play after minor infractions in the last two games. Both games featured last minute goals which inspired several youngsters to run onto the pitch after the final whistle an in response the club has issued the following statement on their website.
“Hibernian FC would like to remind supporters that entering the field of play before, during or at the end of a match is an arrestable offence. Any supporters caught entering the field of play, in celebration or anger, run the risk of a lengthy banning order from Easter Road Stadium and football stadia around Scotland.
“Such actions also contravene SPFL regulations, leading to sanctions for Hibernian FC as well as damaging the Club’s reputation. We would recommend supporters enjoy the celebrations with their fellow fans in the stands and not run the risk of arrest and an extended ban from Hibernian matches.
“Enjoy the match today.”
