Five-star Edinburgh hotel, The Chester Residence, has been named as the best-rated hotel in the East Coast of Scotland and the second best in the whole of the UK in trivago’s 2015 ‘Top Hotel Awards’.

Hotel search website Trivago have revealed the results of their inaugural ‘Top Hotel Awards’, using aggregated online user ratings in order to recognise the best rated hotels, both regionally and nationally. Hotel 41 in London is the top-rated hotel in the UK, followed closely by The Chester Residence in Edinburgh. The Chester Residence is also the top-rated hotel in the East Coast of Scotland. These awards follow on from The Chester Residence’s success at the start of the year, when they were named as the ‘No1 Luxury Hotel in the UK’ and the ‘7th Best Luxury Hotel in Europe’ in the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2015.

The Chester Residence comprises 23 luxury Georgian townhouse apartments located in Edinburgh’s chic West End. Each suite is individually designed using the most luxurious, contemporary décor and furnishings, with all the comforts of a five star hotel as well as full reception and concierge service, offering guests a personalised and memorable experience.

chester_loungeJill Darling, General Manager at The Chester Residence, said: “We are delighted to be crowned number one hotel in the East Coast region and second best rated hotel in the whole of the UK for trivago’s 2015 Top Hotel awards. It’s always great to receive feedback and winning awards is the highest compliment. Our team works exceptionally hard to ensure each guest’s stay is as luxurious and enjoyable as possible, so it is a great honour that trivago have recognised this. I’d like to thank all of our team for their dedication and the excellent service they provide.”

Denise Bartlett, UK Public Relations at trivago, said: “With their attentive staff and dedication to a luxurious experience, it is easy to see why The Chester Residence is our top-rated accommodation in the East Coast of Scotland this year. Serviced apartments are very popular in this region, providing all the services and luxuries of a hotel stay with the added benefit of a spacious living area and a fully-fitted kitchen. Particularly popular among long-term guests, they provide the traveller with a luxurious home away from home. The trivago Top Hotel Awards aim to judge all accommodation fairly, whether they are serviced apartments in Edinburgh, a B&B in Perth or a castle hotel in Pitlochry. It is really encouraging to see such a range of accommodation, both in terms of price and geographical location, in our top 20.”
