Rabbie’s Small Group Tours awarded with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise

Leading Edinburgh and Ireland small group tour operator, Rabbie’s, was today presented with the UK’s highest accolade for business success by the Lord Lieutenant of Edinburgh, Donald Wilson.

The company was presented with the Queen’s Award for International Trade at a ceremony today in recognition of outstanding overseas sales growth over the past three years.

EdinReport-9Thanks to continual investment in their unique experiences, passenger numbers on scheduled tours have increased by 36% since 2011. 90% of their clients are from overseas and the company sell their tours through a multi-lingual website, as well as tour operators and travel agents overseas.

Lord Lieutenant Donald Wilson said “As Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh is one of the World’s top tourist destinations and it is important to showcase the city well. That is what Rabbie’s Tours specialises in and this recognition from The Queen is testament to the huge strides Robin and his team have made strengthening their brand.

It was a pleasure to present this award on behalf of Her Majesty and I wish Rabbie’s Tours well as they continue to innovate and develop.”

Established in 1993 and named after Scotland’s best-known poet, Robert (Rabbie) Burns, Rabbie’s is one of the UK’s longest running small group tour companies.

With a range of departures from Edinburgh, Glasgow, London and Dublin, Rabbie’s offers an extensive selection of one-day to 17-day excursions/expeditions and in 2016, are to cross The Channel for the first time, offering tours through the stunning Champagne region of France.
