New Salvation Army boutique shop opened today

The Salvation Army Trading Company opened the newly transformed Bruntsfield charity shop earlier today. The shop has been converted into a unique boutique featuring a range of high end preloved fashion and designer items.

The Salvation Army charity shop in Bruntsfield Place, Edinburgh, is officially reopening to the public after its transformation into the organisation’s first boutique in Scotland. Trevor Caffull explained to us that the shops and the clothing collection service bring in an amazing £10 million for the charity across the UK.

After a week of work to transform the interior, the team of staff and volunteers, managed by Julia Carruthers (a fashion graduate and an enthusiast for preloved items) can’t wait to show off the shop’s fresh new look and high end stock.
With items such as a three-piece Yves Saint Laurent suit among the highlights for sale on opening day, busy crowds are expected to gather to be amongst the first to grab a fashionable bargain.
This brand new concept for The Salvation Army’s retail offer in Scotland is expected to generate quite a buzz with Edinburgh’s fashion-forward community.
Profits from the shop will contribute to The Salvation Army’s work with people who are vulnerable and in need across the UK, including homelessness and addiction services, care for older people, help at emergency incidents, support for adult victims of human trafficking in England and Wales and a Family Tracing Service.
