Rental prices increase by a third during the Festival

We are all sure that if you clear your house out and let it out as a Festival let then you can be in the money, but now it has been proved.

A recent study by hometogo has found that in Edinburgh during August the price of renting property goes up by around a third. Prices for a flat for 4 people during July and August have an average price of £175 per night which equates to £1225 per week.

The prices go up most at the end of August and then prices go back to normal (as do all the residents!) in September.

London prices do not enjoy this escalation and remain much more stable throughout the summer months, but Central London prices remain the highest in the UK and about 50% higher than prices in Edinburgh from June to August.
