Scott Allan dedicates award to team mates and coaching staff
Scott Allan has dedicated his PFA Scotland’s Championship Player of the Year award to his team-mates and coaching staff at Hibs.
The 23-year-old midfielder who also won the Hibernian Supporters’ Association Player of the Year, Hibernian Disabled Supporters Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year told hibernianfc.co.uk: “Winning the award is definitely one of the highlights of my career so far.
“Getting recognition from fellow professionals is great, but I couldn’t have earned the votes if it wasn’t for the help of my team-mates on the pitch and also the support of the coaching staff off it.
“I’ve really enjoyed my football this season and hopefully that has shown in my performances. I love playing for Hibs and the way everything has worked out so far has been absolutely brilliant.
“Picking up personal awards is a real honour, but our main goal as a team is to now achieve promotion.
“Achieving the win at Falkirk and securing second spot was just the first step – now we’re all focused on hitting the ground running in the play-offs and progressing through.
“I’m really excited about the play-offs and I will be counting the days until the first leg of the semi-final – making sure I’m ready to help the team get the results required to progress.”
