FREE PIC- Fossil Fuel Free Rally 03

FREE PICTURE: Fossil Fuel Free Rally, Edinburgh, Sat 14/02/2015:
Edinburgh joined the “Global Divestment Day”, which is urging local authorities, organisations and individuals to move their money out of fossil fuels in a bid to tackle climate change. Edinburgh shoppers joined green activists at a rally at the foot of The Mound, Edinburgh – one of many events taking place around the world today (Sat February 14th, 2015).
Activists are pictured with the “Fossil Fuels Dinosaur” – highlighting the need to move away from using oil, gas and coal.
The rapidly-growing divestment movement has seen 180 institutions worldwide worth £33 Billion commit to selling off their investments in coal, oil and gas.  The campaign aims to deprive this damaging industry of cash and challenge the legitimacy of profiting from the destruction of the world’s climate.
