Police Scotland

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with football-related disorder that occurred following a derby match in Edinburgh last year.

After the game at Easter Road stadium on 26th October a number of disturbances were reported within the city-centre, including two serious assaults at Scotts Bar that evening.

During these incidents two men sustained serious injuries.

As a result of enquiries a 44-year-old man was detained yesterday and will appear in court next month charged with the two serious assaults.

In addition, the man is also subject to ‘Think Twice’ bail conditions and is not permitted to enter any licensed premises while he awaits trial.
