Man pleads guilty to indecent assaults in Livingston

A man who indecently assaulted two women in Livingston in April and May this year, has pled guilty.

Mariusz Cieslar (26) today pled guilty to assault with intent to rape at the High Court in Glasgow. He was remanded in custody and will be sentenced in January.

Cieslar attacked a 21 year old woman in her garden in the early hours of 8th April, and then indecently assaulted a 27-year-old woman in her bedroom in the early hours on 7^th May. A major police investigation was launched into the two incidents and extensive enquiry was carried out by police in West Lothian. Officers released an e-fit of the suspect and an image of distinctive Adidas Adipure trainers which were believed to be linked to one of the scenes. Mariusz Cieslar was identified as a suspect and apprehended when he returned from abroad.
