Two in court after bookmakers robbery

Police have arrested and charged a 23-year-old man following an assault and robbery at a bookmakers on Balgreen Road on Monday evening.

He was also charged with two further assault and robberies within bookmaker premises in Bernard Street, Edinburgh on September 24 and in Longstone Street on September 29.

A 43-year-old man was also traced and charged in relation to his involvement with the robbery on Monday in Balgreen Road.

Both men are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.
