SNP Deputy Leadership Hustings in Edinburgh
A hustings will be held on Saturday evening at 5.30pm in the Southside Community Centre on Nicolson Street featuring all of the SNP candidates for Deputy Leader of the party.

The three candidates are Keith Brown MSP for, Angela Constance MSP and Stewart Hosie MP.
Keith Brown is the Minister for Transport and Veterans and MSP for Clackmannanshire and Dunblane, and was previously a councillor in Clackmannanshire with a background in trade unions as a UNISON representative. He has a campaign website here.

Angela Constance, MSP for Almond Valley, has a website to raise her profile in the race to become Deputy Leader where you can download a Twibbon to your Twitter profile if you wish to show your support She pledges the following:
I shall fight to ensure the party never takes its eyes off the goal of an independent Scotland
I swear to defend the interest of rank and file SNP members old and new in making sure their voices are always heard.
The wider Yes campaign is our conscience. We, as a party, must reach out to the grassroots.
All of these pledges and her manifesto are set out in full on her website. Ms Constance is the Cabinet Secretary for Training and Youth and Women’s Employment following elevation to a cabinet post earlier this year. Prior to becoming an MSP she was a Criminal Justice Social Worker and a councillor with West Lothian Council. She has been an MSP since 2005.
Stewart Hosie is the third candidate (in alphabetical order) for the position of Deputy Leader which will be vacated when Nicola Sturgeon becomes the Leader at the party’s conference in November. His campaign website is here.
Mr Hosie represents Dundee East at Westminster and he is the Chief Whip of the SNP group there. Dundee was one of the few areas where the Yes vote was overwhelmingly successful.
He was previously the party’s National Secretary and Organisation Convenor, and is married to Shona Robison MSP who is Scottish Minister for Commonwealth Games and Sport.
