Scran Salon: each month Edinburgh’s Scran Salon brings together people with a love of food. Focusing on the food community in Scotland, Scran attracts producers, chefs, owners, customers, writers, promoters and enthusiastic eaters, giving an opportunity for these sometimes disparate groups to come together. 7-9pm, Hemma, Holyrood Road. Edinburgh Humanist Society: this month historian and librarian Patrick Landri of the Alliance Francaise de Glasgow talks about Laicite (the absence of religious involvement in government affairs, and of government involvement in religious affairs) in France.
