Police are appealing for witnesses after a 43-year-old man was assaulted on a bus in Edinburgh last month.

The incident happened on the No. 14 Lothian bus at around 9pm on Friday 18th July, as it travelled along Peffermill Road. The victim pushed the emergency button, causing the bus to stop. While he was engaging the driver in conversation, another passenger pushed the victim out the door of the bus, causing him to strike his head on a boundary wall.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses who may have information that can assist with the investigation.

PC Kevin Walls said: “This assault resulted in the victim receiving a wound to the head and he required hospital treatment. We are now looking to speak to anyone who was on the No.14 bus around 9pm on Thursday 18th July to come forward.”
