Police name man who died in Wester Hailes

Police have confirmed that the man who died following a serious assault in Wester Hailes was Robbie Morrison, from Edinburgh.

The 31-year-old was the victim of a serious assault in Dumbryden Gardens at around 4.30pm on Friday 22^nd August.

He was transferred to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and was in a critical condition over the weekend, before succumbing to his injuries yesterday morning.   

His family do not wish to give a statement at this time.
