Man arrested following CCTV appeal

Police have arrested a man in connection with a sexual assault in Leith after members of the public identified him from CCTV footage released yesterday.

Officers appealed to the public for assistance after a 23-year-old woman was the victim of a sexual assault in the early hours of Monday 14th April while walking in Henderson Street.

Following a positive response, officers have charged a 20-year-old man and he will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
