Man in court following incident at Fidra Court

A 61 year old male has been arrested and charged under the Explosive Substances Act following an examination of a property at Fidra Court, Edinburgh, on Friday 18th April.

He is due to appear in court today.

Chief Inspector Sara Buchanan from Police Scotland said: “Keeping people safe is of paramount importance to Police Scotland. We are still in the early stages of our enquiry and I’d like to thank the public for their patience, particularly those who were evacuated at Fidra Court, while we worked to establish the circumstances of this incident.”
