Porcelain doll collection stolen from garage in Ratho
Police in Edinburgh are investigating a break-in to a garage in Ratho where hundreds of porcelain dolls were stolen, along with football memorabilia.
The break-in happened in School Wynd sometime between Monday the 7th and Monday the 14th of October.
Between 200 – 300 porcelain dolls worth around £3000 were stolen, along with football memorabilia, including signed shirts, books and programmes.
Police are now appealing for information that can help trace those responsible, and reunite the stolen items with their rightful owner.
Inspector Liz Duthie, from Police Scotland, said: “This is an extensive collection that is worth several thousand pounds, and we want to hear from anyone with information that can help us return the items to their owner, as well as trace those who stole them.
“Anyone who has noticed any suspicious activity in the area of School Wynd over the past week, or who knows who is responsible for the break-in, should contact Police Scotland on 101, or make an anonymous report through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
