The Edinburgh Reporter had a word or two with departing Fringe Show virgins, The Improsarios. They have just completed a two-week run of their scriptless and, quite literally, until audience suggestions, clueless show – The Trilogy – a three mini-act improvisational ensemble.

We asked Tai Lawrence, Artistic Director, if they had had a good time at the Fringe to which he replied:-‘Yes, it went okay for a first time in Edinburgh. We had steady, reasonable houses and generally the shows were solid. We had some great audience feedback and some mixed feedback – which is an accurate reflection of where we’re at in our journey, and will be useful for the long-term.’

Such commendable candour and modest honesty must surely stand them in good stead now that they have been enchanted by the magic of The Fringe, the roar of grease paint and the smell of the crowds.

This clearly talented, charismatic, utterly committed and damn hard-working company are forever fired and flying by the pant-wetting seats of their imaginations.

It is always a chance punt with ‘Improv’ but come summer 2014, will you dare to be a Celtic-Fringe Tiger or a wee, sleekit, cowrin, tim’rous beastie?
