Boroughmuir High School celebrating their centenary
On Thursday of this week Boroughmuir High School had a whole school photograph taken. No mean feat since nearly 1300 staff and students gathered in the playground for a ‘Centenary Photograph’ as part of their year of celebration of 100 years at Boroughmuir on its existing site.
At the end of September the school is going to take part in Doors Open Day on 28 and 29 September 2013 to celebrate their centenary. This will be one of the last times the general public/former pupils get to see the old school. The designs for the new school have been circulated and we wrote about them here.
The new school will be built on a site next to the canal about 500 metres away from the existing school and work should start next summer.
