Representing all that is good; the zen-like figure of COACH O’HANLON (a.k.a Ardal O’Hanlon – Father TedMy HeroLondon Irish).

Fighting for all that is evil; maniacal psychopath DR. PUN ISHMENT (a.k.a Tim Vine – Not Going OutLive At The ApolloQI) who is out to avenge the loss the evil team suffered at the hands of Team Captain Russell Kane at the last show.

Coach O’Hanlon on Team O’Hanlon’s preparations:

Dr. Pun Ishment lays down Team Punishment’s credentials:

Both teams will clash at the Pleasance Grand in front of 800 bloodthirsty fans. Bodies will be bruised, egos will be smashed and, if last time round is anything to go by, bones will be broken. The creation of comedy duo MAX AND IVAN, THE WRESTLING II will be an even bigger date on the calendar than the first event two years ago, which secured the Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards Panel Prize and was named Chortle’s #1 show of 2011.

The night itself will feature THREE death-defying bouts; first to be announced is TOM ‘EXPLOSENTHAL’ ROSENTHAL, of Team Punishment, vs DAN ‘THE HAMMER’ HEAD, of Team O’Hanlon.

Rosenthal (Friday Night DinnersPlebs) is to make his one-on-one debut, as he takes on professional wrestler Dan Head (‘the man with the titanium cranium’) in a grudge match stemming from their tag-team clash at the last show.

Now, with the Team Captains announced, stay tuned for the remaining match-ups and combatants to be revealed over the course of the next fortnight, as the trash-talking commences and both teams try to get in the head of their opponents.

THE WRESTLING II also features a returning all-star team of announcers: ANDREW MAXWELL and BRENDON BURNS on colour commentary, MATTHEW ‘THE PACIFIST’ CROSBY as roving reporter and the mighty NICK HELM as gravel-voiced ring announcer.
