Fatal road collision, Winchburgh – cyclist named

Police Scotland has named the cyclist killed in a collision with a lorry in West Lothian last week.

The dead man has been identified as 79-year-old Douglas Brown from the Leith area of Edinburgh.  He passed away last night (Sunday, July 14) as a result of injuries sustained in the collision, which happened on the B9080 Linlithgow to Kirkliston Road near Winchburgh Bing, around 10.30am on Thursday (July 11).

Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision, and are appealing for any witnesses to contact Police Scotland on 101.
