Edinburgh Festival Fringe – Jen Carnovale: Not a Person Person

JCJen Carnovale: Not a Person Person, Laughing Horse @ The Free Sisters, 2 to 25 August (except 5, 12 and 19) 8:45pm, Free

‘Not a person person’ is a one (small) woman stand up show, with occasional movements and short breaks for sipping water. Jen has spent the last two years living in London. She’s learnt some things about other people, about herself and about how the two don’t really mix.

She’s figured some other things out too:

1: You need to talk to people, out loud.

Jen will pump words at the audience like a set of old fashioned billows, revealing much about herself; did she get a life degree from backpacking? Or did she vow never to use the phrase ‘life degree’ or talk to anyone who does?

2: Toddlers are scary. Jen has recently spent some nerve-shredding day job time as a teacher’s assistant. She chats to the crowd about it like a familiar friend; impressive for a person who is yet to make any.

3. Doctors are sadly people too. If there’s anyone who shouldn’t feel sheepish and apologetic about asking you to show them your breasts, it’s an ‘Official Boob Inspector’, but a close second on that list is a trained medical physician. To see what that’s all about, come to ‘Jen Carnovale; Not a Person Person’. You are definitely invited!
