On Friday afternoon two people were trapped on Cramond Island by the fast incoming tide and were safely taken ashore by the RNLI Queensferry Lifeboat.
On Saturday afternoon the Lifeboat was again called out by the Coastguard to go to the aid of a number of people marooned on Cramond Island. On reaching the Island the RNLI Queensferry Lifeboat crew found twelve men and women needing to be rescued. They were taken aboard the Lifeboat and safely landed ashore to be met by the local Coastguard who explained that before leaving the mainland , walkers should check the tide tables displayed at Cramond, leaving enough time to make the walk to ,and back from the Island in safety .
