Edinburgh Christmas party night to raise cash for CHAS
Big hearted founders of networking group 6 Degrees Networking haven’t forgotten what Christmas is all about – they’re even planning to raise cash for CHAS (Children’s Hospice Association Scotland) as part of the festivities.
Edinburgh-based Steven Mitchell and Chris Chirnside, have pledged to raise money for children with life limiting conditions, in conjunction with various sponsors, at their Christmas party event this Friday 30 November 2012 by donating part of the proceeds to CHAS.
The duo, which is hosting a party night at The Caves, will raffle off coveted prizes from sponsors including Khiels, Bond No. 9, Ignite Bengali & Indian Restaurant, Brand Impact Merchandising, and Trotter’s Independent Condiments – to name but a few – and which will include box sets, gift vouchers, and dining experiences for two.
The £25 entry fee will include entertainment provided by comedian John ‘Obie’ O’brien, two drinks, a finger buffet and three raffle tickets.
But this isn’t the first time the entrepreneurs have raised money for CHAS. Earlier this year, they hosted a Beer & Curry Night at Ignite Bengali & Indian Restaurant, in partnership with Harviestoun Brewery, to help boost the coffers for the charity.
Steven Mitchell, who also runs The Nth Degree design and marketing consultancy, explained: “CHAS is a charity that’s close to our hearts and has indeed become our charity of the year – partly because we know all the money raised will stay in Scotland and go towards helping children with life limiting conditions and their families who deserve much needed support.
“It may seem like a small gesture but, if everyone can do their bit while managing to pay their overheads, then we can make small changes which make a big difference to these children’s lives – something which is even more pertinent at Christmas time.”
