On Saturday, 17 November 2012, from midday until 5pm, the Amnesty International groups in the Edinburgh area are hosting the second annual Edinburgh Human Rights Festival at St Augustine’s Church, George IV Bridge.

This year they will be showing films in the downstairs theatre, as well as having speakers, workshops and stalls. There will be Syrian food on sale and a chance to take action on human rights issues through letter writing. They are inviting the people of Edinburgh to come and join them, for a specific film or workshop – or for the whole day.

Amnesty International is a campaigning organisation whose purpose is to protect people wherever justice, fairness, freedom and truth are denied.
