Councillor Maureen Child reported to us that Marlborough Street has now been closed off to through traffic in the interest of public safety.

The contractor, Edinburgh Roads Services, is now investigating the cause of the recent road collapse. While the street is closed off to traffic the council will also investigate the other subsidence within the street.

There will be updates regarding progress of repairs, but it is anticipated that the road will be closed to through traffic for the next 7- 10 days.
