Craighouse Campus plans go on display
The Craighouse Partnership has announced they will be holding three days of public consultations in venues close to the site, to allow the public to come and view their revised proposals to restore the former Edinburgh Napier University campus at Craighouse.
The project would see the renewal and preservation of the historic listed buildings, and the development of exceptional, high-quality residential properties in a sympathetic and sustainable way, while also maintaining public access to the site and its green spaces.
The public consultations will be held on the following dates and time:
Thursday 29th March
2pm-8pm
Eric Liddell Centre, 15 Morningside Road, Edinburgh EH10 4DP
Friday 30th March
2pm-8pm
Boroughmuir RFC, Meggetland Sports Pavillion, 60J Colinton Road, Edinburgh EH14 1AS
Saturday 31st March
10am-4pm
Old Craig, Craighouse Campus, Craighouse Road, Edinburgh EH10 5LG
This series of public exhibitions form part of a voluntary pre-application consultation process, and follow the first round of public consultations that were held in September 2011. New information and plans for the proposed development will be available at the consultation events and members of the Craighouse Partnership team will be on hand to answer questions regarding the proposals.
William Gray Muir, Director of Edinburgh-based Sundial Properties and member of the Craighouse Partnership, said:
“We feel it is very important to be holding another round of consultations for our Craighouse Campus scheme. The Craighouse Partnership has been actively consulting with local stakeholders, statutory consultees, and local political representatives throughout the project to gain feedback on our plans as they have progressed.
“With seven grade-A listed buildings, spectacular views and beautiful grounds, Craighouse is a unique and historic site, and we have to regenerate and sustain it for future generations. We are confident that our revised proposals offer a sympathetic and viable future for the site that local residents will welcome. I look forward to meeting members of the local community to explain our plans and listen to their views.”
