Miss North Edinburgh, 22 year old Jayde Wright from West Pilton, visited Rachel House Children’s Hospice in Kinross, run by Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) for a special Valentine’s visit yesterday.

Jayde, who has won a place at the prestigious final this month of Miss Galaxy Scotland 2012, has organised a charity night on Saturday 18 February to raise money for CHAS. As well as meeting families staying at the hospice and staff and volunteers, she toured the house, which supports children and young people with life-shortening conditions.

The 22 year old said: “I met so many amazing people who genuinely have the biggest hearts and make every moment precious for all the children they care for. I’m so proud to be supporting CHAS and hope to help fundraise as much money as possible on Saturday.”

Kirsten Dugan, CHAS Fundraiser said: “Jayde has put her all into Saturday’s event and we’re so grateful for her support. We need to raise over £7 million every year to run CHAS services and couldn’t do it without the support of people like Jayde.”

Jayde is sponsored by dm autos, nicci.n clothing range and techniq hair design.
